ORD 22-028ORDINANCE NO. 22-028 AN ORDINANCE adopting the biennial budget for the City of Camas, Washington, for the fiscal year beginning January 1, 2023 . WHEREAS , the Mayor of the City of Camas , Washington completed and placed on file with the City Clerk a proposed budget and estimate of the amount of moneys required to meet the public expenses , bond retirement and interest, reserve funds and expenses of government of said City for the biennium beginning January 1, 2023, and a notice was published that the Council of said City would meet on the 5th day of December, 2022 at the hour of 7:00pm, in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of said City for the purposes of considering the budget for the biennium 2023-2024 and giving taxpayers within the limits of said city an opportunity to be heard upon said budget; and, WHEREAS, the said City Council has met and considered the matter of the budget for the biennium 2023-2024 ; and, WHEREAS, the said proposed budget does not exceed the lawful limit of taxation allowed by law to be levied on the property within the City of Camas for the purposes set forth in said budget, and the estimated expenditures set forth in said budget being all necessary to carry on the government of the said City for said years and being sufficient to meet the various needs of said city during said period; and, NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS: SECTION I The 2023-2024 budget of the City of Camas , Washington for the biennium beginning January 1, 2023 is adopted at the fund level in its final form and content as set forth in the document dated November 20, 2022 entitled City of Camas 2023-2024 Budget, three copies of which are on file in the Office of the Clerk.
