RES 17-004RESOLUTIONNO.17-004ARESOLUTIONconfirmingtheappointmentoftheCamasMunicipalCourtJudges.WHEREAS,pursuanttoChapter3.50RCW,theCityofCamascreatedandestablishedaninferiorcourtdesignatedastheMunicipalCourtoftheCityofCamas;andWHEREAS,Chapter2.40.020oftheCamasMunicipalCodeprovidesthatthemayorshallappointasmunicipaljudges,subjecttoconfirmationbythecitycouncil,alldulyelecteddistrictcourtjudgesoftheClarkCountyDistrictCourt.Thetermofsuchappointmentshallcoincidewiththeelectedtermofeachdistrictcourtjudge;andWHEREAS,pursuanttoRCW39.34,thecityhasenteredintoaninter-localagreementwithClarkCounty,wherebyClarkCountyagreedtoprovidealljudicialandcourtsupportservicesnecessarytooperatetheMunicipalCourtoftheCityofCamasandtoadjudicateallmatterscomingbeforesaidcourt;andWHEREAS,theMayorhasappointedthecurrentClarkCountyDistrictCourtJudges,theHon.DarvinZimmerman,Hon.SonyaLangsdorf,Hon.KelliOsier,andHon.JohnHagensentoserveasCamasMunicipalCourtJudges;andWHEREAS,theMayorhasalsoappointedthecurrentClarkCountyDistrictCourtCommissioners,theHon.CommissionerToddGeorge,andHon.CommissionerKristenParchertoserveasCamasMunicipalCourtJudges;NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHECOUNCILOFTHECITYOFCAMASASFOLLOWS:TheCityCounciloftheCityofCamasherebyconfirmssaidappointmentoftheClarkCountyDistrictCourtJudgesandCommissionerstoserveastheCamasMunicipalCourtJudges.
