RES 16-002RESOLUTIONNO.16-002ARESOLUTIONamendingResolution936byrevisingthestandardsforwaiverofFireFacilityImpactFeesinaccordancewiththeprovisionsofChapter3.88,CamasMunicipalCode.WHEREAS,Chapter3.88oftheCamasMunicipalCodesetsforththeformulaforcalculatingthefirefacilitiesimpactfee,andWHEREAS,Section3.88.105providesfortheCounciltoadoptaresolutionorresolutionssettingforththemonetaryamountofimpactfeesbytheuseoftheformulassetforthinChapter3.88oftheCamasMunicipalCode,andWHEREAS,theCitywishestoincentivizevoluntaryinstallationoffiresprinklers;andWHEREAS,RCW43.21C.060precludesthecollectionoffireimpactsfeesrelatedtofireresponseinresidentiallandzonedforfamilyunitsthatincludefiresprinklers,andWHEREAS,theCouncilheretoforehasadoptedResolutionNo.936onJune10,2002andSectionIVthereinshallbeamendedandsupersededbythetermsofthisResolution,effectiveFebruary1,2016.NOW,THEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHECOUNCILOFTHECITYOFCAMASASFOLLOWS:SectionIEffectiveFebruary1,2016,fireimpactfeesforsinglefamilydwellingsandduplexesthatincludemandatoryinstallationofresidentialfiresprinklerscomplyingwithNFPA13Dshallbeassessedat80%thereofandsaidfeeshallbewaivedforvoluntarilyinstallations.
