A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMAS,
WASHINGTON adopting the Clark County Comprehensive
Solid Waste Management Plan.
WHEREAS,Chapter 70.95 RCW requires each city and county within the State to prepare and
thereafter periodically revise a coordinated and comprehensive Solid Waste Management Plan;and
WHEREAS,the City of Camas (City)and Clark County (County)previously adopted plans in
1973,1981,1985 (with amendments to the 1985 plan adopted in 1988 and 1989 ),1994,2003 and 2008;
and
WHEREAS,a need exists to update the 2008 Plan as required in RCW 70.95 and to update the
Plan for changes that have occurred within the County,as well as changes to state and federal regulations;
and
WHEREAS,the City has delegated preparation of the Solid Waste Management Plan to the
County by Interlocal Agreement;and
WHEREAS,the process for updating the Plan as outlined in RCW 70.95 and the Interlocal
Agreement has been fulfilled;and
WHEREAS,the City has been represented throughout the planning process;and
WHEREAS,the Plan adopted herein has been recommended by the Solid Waste Advisory
Commission and adopted by the Clark County Board of County Commissioners.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS
AS FOLLOWS:

The City of Camas hereby adopts the Clark County Solid Waste Management Plan which is
located at http://www.clark.wa.gov/recycle/documents.html and a copy of which is maintained at the
City of Camas Public Works Department.
