A RESOLUTION authorizing road closure of a portion of NW
Friberg/Strunk Street from July 18,2014,through August 29,2014.
WHEREAS,RCW Chapter 47.48 provides for road closures as approved by the local
governing body;and
WHEREAS ,NW Friberg/Strunk Street will be under construction for the period of July
18,2014 -August 29,2014;and
WHEREAS ,the road closure will expedite the construction work and will thereby help to
decrease the duration of impeded use of the roadway;and
WHEREAS ,traffic volumes are much lower in the summer on NW Friberg/Strunk Street
due to summer vacation for Union High School;and
WHEREAS ,adequate detour routes are available.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
The City of Camas by and through its staff and authorized representatives,is hereby
authorized to close NW Friberg/Strunk Street from NE 13 Street south to the northernmost
Union High School Driveway,from July 18,2014,through August 29,2014.
SECTION II
Emergency vehicle and local residential access will be maintained during the road
closure.
