RES 1288RESOLUTIONNO.ARESOLUTIONauthorizinginvestmentofCityofCamasMoniesintheLocalGovernmentInvestmentPoolWHEREAS,pursuanttoChapter294,Lawsof1986,theLegislaturecreatedatrustfundtobeknownasthepublicfundsinvestmentaccount(commonlyreferredtoastheLocalGovernmentInvestmentPool(LGIP)forthecontributionandwithdrawalofmoneybyanauthorizedgovernmentalentityforpurposesofinvestmentbytheOfficeoftheStateTreasurer;andWHEREAS,fromtimetotimeitmaybeadvantageoustotheauthorizedtheCityofCamastocontributefundsavailableforinvestmentintheLGIP;andWHEREAS,theinvestmentstrategyfortheLGIPissetforthinitspoliciesandprocedures;andWHEREAS,anycontributionsorwithdrawalstoorfromtheLGIPmadeonbehalfoftheCityofCamasshallbefirstdulyauthorizedbytheCounciloftheCityofCamasoranydesigneeoftheCityofCamaspursuanttothisResolution,orasubsequentResolution;andWHEREAStheCityofCamaswillcausetobefiledacertifiedcopyofsaidResolutionwiththeOfficeoftheStateTreasurer;andWHEREAStheCityofCamasandanydesigneeappointedbytheCamasCityCouncilwithauthoritytocontributeorwithdrawfundsoftheCityofCamashasreceivedandreadacopyoftheprospectusandunderstandstherisksandlimitationsofinvestingintheLGIP;andWHEREAS,theCityofCamasattestsbythesignatureofitsmembersthatitisdulyauthorizedandempoweredtoenterintothisagreement,todirectthecontributionorwithdrawalofgovernmentalentitymonies,andtodelegatecertainauthoritytomakeadjustmentstotheincorporatedtransactionalforms,totheindividualsdesignatedherein.NOWTHEREFORE,BEITRESOLVEDBYTHECOUNCILOFTHECITYOFCAMASASFOLLOWS:SectionITheCityofCamasdoesherebyauthorizethecontributionandwithdrawalofgovernmentalentitymoniesintheLGIPinthemannerprescribedbylaw,rule,andprospectus.SectionIITheCityofCamasapprovestheLocalGovernmentInvestmentPoolTransactionAuthorizationForm(Form)ascompletedbyFinanceDirectorandincorporatessaidformintothisResolutionbyreferenceanddoesherebyattesttoitsaccuracy.
ResolutionNo:SectionIIITheCityofCamasdesignatesCathyHuberNickerson,FinanceDirector,theâauthorizedindividualâtoauthorizeallamendments,changes,oralterationstotheFormoranyotherdocumentationincludingthedesignationofotherindividualstomakecontributionsandwithdrawalsonbehalfoftheCityofCamas.SectionIVTheCityCouncilfurtherresolvesthatthedelegationendsuponthewrittennotice,byanymethodsetforthintheprospectus,oftheCityofCamasthattheauthorizedindividualhasbeenterminatedorthathisorherdelegationhasbeenrevoked.TheOfficeoftheStateTreasurerwillrelysolelyonthegoverningbodytoprovidenoticeofsuchrevocationandisentitledtorelyontheauthorizedindividualâsinstructionsuntilsuchtimeassaidnoticehasbeenprovided.SectionVBeitfurtherresolvedthattheFormasincorporatedintothisResolutionorhereafteramendedbydelegatedauthority,oranyotherdocumentationsignedorotherwiseapprovedbytheauthorizedindividualshallremainineffectafterrevocationoftheauthorizedindividualâsdelegatedauthority,excepttotheextentthattheauthorizedindividualwhosedelegationhasbeenterminatedshallnotbepermittedtomakefurtherwithdrawalsorcontributionstotheLGDPonbehalfofthegovernmentalentity.Noamendments,changes,oralterationsshallbemadetotheFormoranyotherdocumentationuntiltheentitypassesanewresolutionnaminganewauthorizedindividual;andSectionVIBeitfurtherresolvedthatthegoverningbodyacknowledgesthatithasreceived,read,andunderstoodtheprospectusasprovidedbytheOfficeoftheStateTreasurer.Inaddition,thegoverningbodyagreesthatacopyoftheprospectuswillbeprovidedtoanypersondelegatedorotherwiseauthorizedtomakecontributionsorwithdrawalsintooroutoftheLGIPandthatsaidindividualswillberequiredtoreadtheprospectuspriortomakinganywithdrawalsorcontributionsoranyfurtherwithdrawalsorcontributionsifauthorizationsarealreadyinplace.ADOPTEDbytheCouncilataregularmeetingthis\jSIGNED:ATTEST:ClerkAPPROVEDastoform:*71^CityAttorney
