RES 1244RESOLUTION NO.f^1! A RESOLUTION authorizing application for grant funding assistance for Boating Facilities Program projects to the Recreation and Conservation Office (RCO)as provided in Chapter 79A.25 RCW, Boating Facilities Program,WAC 286 and subsequent legislative action. WHEREAS,the City of Camas has approved a comprehensive parks and recreation plan that includes the Heritage Park Phase II Project;and WHEREAS,under the provisions of the Boating Facilities Program (BFP),state grant assistance is requested to aid in financing the cost of facility development within Heritage Park Phase II;and WHEREAS,the City of Camas considers it in the best public interest to complete the application for grant funding assistance for the Boating Facilities Program Projects as described herein; NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS FOLLOWS: I The City Administrator is authorized to make formal application to the Recreation and Conservation Office for grant assistance; II Any grant assistance received will be used for direct costs associated with implementation of the project referenced above; III The City of Camas hereby certifies that the City's matching share of project funding will be derived from the Growth Management Account and that the City of Camas is responsible for supporting all non-cash commitments to this project should they not materialize. IV The City of Camas hereby acknowledges that the grant assistance,if approved,will be paid on a reimbursement basis,meaning the City of Camas will only request payment from the Recreation and Conservation Office after eligible and allowable costs have been incurred and payment remitted to City vendors,and that the Recreation and Conservation Office will hold retainage until the project is deemed complete. Resolution No.1 JlHtA Page -2 V The City of Camas acknowledges that any facility developed through grant assistance from the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board must be reasonably maintained and made available to the general public at reasonable hours and times of the year according to the type of area or facility unless other restrictions have been agreed to by the Recreation and Conservation Office Director or the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board. VI The City of Camas acknowledges that any facility developed with grant assistance from the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board must be dedicated for public outdoor recreation purposes,and be retained and maintained for such use for perpetuity unless otherwise provided and agreed to by the City and the Recreation and Conservation Funding Board .
