RES 1226RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION extending the moratorium adopted by Resolution No.1218 for an additional six months. WHEREAS,on July 18,2011,the City Council adopted Resolution No.1218,which imposed a moratorium for six months upon the establishment of an collective garden for the purpose of producing,processing,transporting,and delivering Cannabis for medical use as otherwise authorized pursuant to Engrossed Second Substitute Senate Bill 5073,Section 403; and WHEREAS,the purpose of the moratorium was to allow adequate time to establish zoning,licensing and permitting requirements necessitating local review of the law changes on the subject of medical marijuana dispensaries and collective or cooperative growth operations which would require the completion of additional planning studies and staff recommendations;and WHEREAS,the City staff has adopted a work plan to allow the additional planning and studies contemplated by Resolution No.1218 to be completed on or before June 1,2012;and WHEREAS,the Council desires to extend the moratorium for an additional six months to allow for completion of the additional planning and studies. NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS FOLLOWS : I The zoning moratoriums set forth within Sections II,III,and IV of Resolution 1218 are hereby extended for a period of six months. II The City readopts the findings as set forth within Resolution No.1218 in support of the extension of the moratorium imposed by this Resolution. •A.ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Camas this 17 ~day of January,2012.
