A RESOLUTION establishing a sign-up fee for work crew.
WHEREAS,the Camas Police Department operates an offender work crew,and
WHEREAS,work crew provides a good alternative to total confinement in jail for
offenders,and
WHEREAS,a sign-up fee will provide offenders an incentive to complete work crew
sanctions,and
WHEREAS,the Police Department incurs expenses in operating an offender work crew,
and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to recoup some of the associated expenses,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
Each time an offender is ordered by the Municipal Court to serve on the work crew,the
offender shall pay a sign-up fee of $20.00.
