RES 1085/MSRESOLUTIONNO.
A RESOLUTION setting a public hearing concerning the proposed
vacation of a portion of NW Astor Street.
WHEREAS,City staff has recommended the Council of the City of Camas initiate
proceedings to vacate a portion of NW Astor Street,and
WHEREAS,the portion of NW Astor Street to be vacated is abutted by property owned
by Lori Ann Coryell,a willing recipient of the right-of-way to be vacated,and
WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas desires to initiate vacation proceedings for
the street to be vacated,and
WHEREAS,it is necessary for the Council to fix a time and place for a public hearing to
be held on the proposed street vacation,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL FOR THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
The Council of the City of Camas does hereby initiate proceedings to vacate the
following described portion of NW Astor Street described in Exhibit “A”attached hereto and by
this reference incorporated herein.
Section II
A public hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation on the 4th day of December
2006,at 7:00 p.m.in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
Section III
The City Clerk is directed to give twenty (20)days notice of the hearing by posting
written notice in three of the most public places in the City of Camas,by posting a like notice on
that portion of the street to be vacated,and by mailing notice to the abutting property owners at
least (15)days prior to the date of hearing.
ADOPTED at a regular session of the City Council of the City of Camas this 6th day of
November 2006.
