A RESOLUTION authorizing applications for funding
assistance for Washington Wildlife and Recreation projects to the
Interagency Committee for Outdoor Recreation (IAC)as provided
in Chapter 79 A.15 RCW,for acquisition,development,or
restoration of habitat conservation and outdoor recreation lands and
facilities.
WHEREAS,the City of Camas has approved a comprehensive plan that includes the
Washougal River Trail and Lacamas Watershed Mitigation Bank;and
WHEREAS,under the provisions of the WWRP,state funding assistance is requested to
aid in financing the cost of land and facility development/restoration;and
WHEREAS,the City of Camas considers it in the best public interest to complete the
land acquisition and facility development/restoration projects described in these applications;and
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS that:
Section I
The City Administrator be authorized to make formal application to the IAC for funding
assistance.
Section II
Any fund assistance received will be used for implementation of the projects referenced
above.
Section III
The City of Camas hereby certifies that its share of the project funding is committed and
will be derived from local cash contributions.
Section IV
The City of Camas acknowledge that any property acquired or facility developed/restored
with IAC financial aid must be placed in use as an outdoor recreation facility and be retained in
such use in perpetuity unless otherwise provided and agreed to by the City of Camas and IAC
(generally,IAC approves removing facilities from the perpetuity requirement when the facilities
have reached their designed life expectancy,or because of extraordinary vandalism,acts of
nature,fire,etc.).

Section V
This resolution shall become part of a formal application to the IAC.
Section VI
The City of Camas has provided appropriate opportunity for public comment on this
application.
ADOPTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS at a regular meeting this
day of June,2006.
