A RESOLUTION providing for supervisory officers of the
Police Department,other than the Police Chief,to be eligible for the
education incentive program offered to members of the Camas Police
Officers'Association,and for all supervisory officers of the Police
Department to be eligible for Master Patrol Officer premium pay as
offered to members of the Camas Police Officers'Association.
WHEREAS,the City has entered into a Collective Bargaining Agreement with the Camas Police
Officers'Association,and
WHEREAS,Section 24.5 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement provides for bargaining unit
employees to receive an education incentive premium added to the base pay equal to one percent (1%)for
an Associate Arts Degree or three percent (3%)for a Bachelor Degree,and
WHEREAS,Section 24.8 of the Collective Bargaining Agreement provides for Master Patrol
Officer premium pay to be paid to sworn officers who have completed 6 years of service,have no
disciplinary action,and have maintained all certifications,and
WHEREAS,the Council desires to extend the benefits of the Education Incentive premium
pay,as provided to members of the Camas Police Officers'Association to all supervisory police
officers,other than the Police Chief,and
WHEREAS,the Council desires to extend the benefits of the Master Patrol Officer premium pay
program,as provided to members of the Camas Police Officers'Association to all supervisory police
officers;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
All supervisory police officers,other than the Chief of Police,shall be eligible to receive an
education incentive premium added to the base pay equal to one percent (1%)for an Associate Arts
Degree or three percent (3%)for a Bachelor Degree.
SECTION II
All supervisory police officers shall be eligible for Master Patrol Officer premium pay.
Eligibility to receive Master Patrol Officer premium pay shall be as set forth in Section 24.8 of the
Collective Bargaining Agreement between the City of Camas and the Camas Police Officers'
Association.
