RES 1046RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION limiting parking to one hour on portions of the North and South
sides of SE 8th Avenue East of SE Union Street.
WHEREAS,the Council finds that the parking of trucks and trailers on SE 8th Avenue for
extended periods of time severely impedes the sight distance of motorists utilizing ingresses and
egresses to businesses along said Avenue;and
WHEREAS,if parking is limited to one hour on both sides of the street,said trucks and
trailers will not be allowed to park on said Avenue for extended periods of time,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
Parking shall be limited to a one-hour duration at the following locations:
The North side of SE 8th Avenue from the East City Limits line West approximately 450
feet to the existing “No Parking”Limits;and
The south side of SE 8th Avenue from the East City Limits line West approximately 350
feet to the existing “No Parking”Limits.
Section II
The City Engineer is directed to erect appropriate signage giving notice of the parking
restriction.
