RES 1034RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION revising the amount of school impact fees for
the Camas,Washougal,and Evergreen School Districts.
WHEREAS,the City has heretofore adopted a school impact fee ordinance,Ordinance
1921,authorizing the imposition of a school impact fee,and
WHEREAS,the Growth Management Act authorizes the collection of impact fees by the
City of Camas for school facilities,and
WHEREAS,the Council has recognized that growth has or will cause Camas School
District,Washougal School District,and Evergreen School District facilities to be over capacity,
and
WHEREAS,the Camas School District,Washougal School District,and Evergreen
School District have amended their respective Capital Facilities Plans to add additional capital
facilities which are necessary to serve new growth and which set forth the need for new school
facilities,and
WHEREAS,the Camas School District revised Capital Facilities Plan,the Washougal
School District revised Capital Facilities Plan,and the Evergreen School District revised Capital
Facilities Plan,all utilized the formula of Ordinance 1921,to establish maximum impact fees for
single-family residences and for multi-family units,and
WHEREAS,the Camas School District has adopted a resolution recommending impact
fees of $3,500.00 for single-family residences and $2,000.00 per multi-family unit,and
WHEREAS,the Washougal School District has adopted a resolution recommending
impact fees of $3,662.00 per single-family residences and $983.00 per multi-family unit,and
WHEREAS,the Evergreen School District has adopted a resolution recommending
impact fees of $3,540.00 for single-family residences and $2,280.00 per multi-family unit,and
WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas has considered the Capital Facilities Plans
of each of the Districts and the recommendations of the respective School Districts at a regular
meeting of the City Council on November 21,2005,and
WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas has determined to accept the
recommendations of the various School Districts with the exception of Camas School District’s
recommendation for single-family residences,and
WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas has determined that the single-family

residential impact fee for the Camas School District should be $4,000.00,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
1.School impact fees for single-family residences within the Camas School District shall
be $4,000.00 per residence,and for multi-family residences within the Camas School District
shall be $2,000.00 per multi-family unit.
2.School impact fees for single-family residences within the Washougal School District
and within the City of Camas shall be $3,662.00 per single-family residence,and for multi-
family residences within the Washougal School District and within the City of Camas shall be
$983.00 per multi-family unit.
3.School impact fees for single-family residences within the Evergreen School District
and within the City of Camas shall be $3,540.00 per single-family residence,and for multi-
family residences within the Camas School District and within the City of Camas shall be
$2,280.00 per multi-family unit.
ADOPTED by the Council at a regular meeting this day of December,2005.
