A RESOLUTION adopting a City of Camas Employee
Recognition Program and establishing a selection committee.
WHEREAS,the City of Camas recognizes that its employees are the City’s most
important asset and resource for providing quality public services to the citizens of Camas;and
WHEREAS,the City recognizes there is a tradition of exemplary work and dedication to
public service among its employees;and
WHEREAS,the City will support the Employee Recognition Program which is designed
to acknowledge employees who demonstrate the important qualities of leadership,
professionalism,dedication,innovation,and excellent public service;and
WHEREAS,a selection committee shall be established to review criteria and nominate
employees for recognition through various awards and orders of presentation to be established
pursuant to the Employee Recognition Program;
NOW,WHEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS,AS FOLLOWS :
1 .There is hereby established a City of Camas Employee Recognition Program for
recognition of City of Camas employees meeting certain selection criteria as may be adopted .
2.There is hereby established an Employee Recognition Program Committee to be made
up of the Mayor,one manager,one employee representative,one Council member,and one
member of the public to monitor the Employee Recognition Program and to review nominated
employees for recognition and other awards.
