RES 995RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION setting forth the intent of the City of Camas to annex certain real property located within the City’s Urban Growth Boundary. WHEREAS,on April 16,2004,the City of Camas received a written notice from the owners of not less than ten percent (10%)in value,according to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for which annexation is sought,of their intention to commence annexation proceedings,and WHEREAS,on May 24,2004,the City Council of the City of Camas set July 26,2004, as the time for a meeting with the annexation proponents to determine whether the City would accept,reject,or geographically modify the proposed annexation,and whether it would require the simultaneous adoption of a proposed zoning regulation,and WHEREAS,on July 26,2004,the City Council conducted a meeting at which it modified the geographical boundaries of the proposed annexation,required the assumption of all indebtedness,and required the adoption of a proposed zoning regulation,and WHEREAS,on August 27,2004,the City received a petition for annexation signed by the owners of not less than sixty percent (60%)in value,according to the assessed valuation for general taxation of the property for which annexation was being petitioned,and WHEREAS,on September 27,2004,the City Council conducted a public hearing to consider the annexation proposal and the adoption of a proposed zoning regulation,and WHEREAS,on November 8,2004,the City Council conducted a second public hearing on the proposed annexation and zoning regulation,and WHEREAS,after considering the testimony and comments submitted at the public hearings,the City Council has elected to proceed with annexation, NOW,THEREFORE,THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS : Section I The City Council hereby sets forth its intent to accept the petition for annexation subject to the condition that the property to be annexed be required to assume and pay at the same rate and on the same basis as the property of the City of Camas is assessed and taxed for all or any Resolution No.Page 2 portion of the then outstanding indebtedness of the City of Camas,which has been approved by the voters,contracted for,or incurred prior to or existing at the date of annexation,and further subject to the condition that the property to be annexed shall be simultaneously zoned single family R-7.5. Section II The Planning Director is directed to provide a copy of this resolution to the Clark County Boundary Review Board,and to do all other things necessary to obtain a decision from the Clark County Boundary Review Board on the annexation proposal.
