A RESOLUTION requesting the Clark County Auditor to hold
an election on the Lacamas Heights annexation on November 4,
2003.
WHEREAS,the City has heretofore adopted a Resolution No."/AS calling for
election to be held to submit to the voters of the Lacamas Heights area a proposal for such area to
an
be annexed to the City of Camas,and
WHEREAS,certified copies of said resolution have been filed with the Clark County
Board of Commissioners and with the Boundary Review Board,and
WHEREAS,the Boundary Review Board has rendered its decision approving the
proposed annexation,and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires for such annexation proposal to be submitted to the
voters at the general election scheduled for November 4,2003,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I :
The City of Camas hereby requests Clark County Auditors Office to schedule an election
on November 4,2003,on the question of whether the Lacamas Heights area should be annexed
to the City of Camas.Said area is more particulary described in Exhibit “A”,attached hereto and
by this reference incorporated herein.
SECTION II:
The ballet title for the proposed annexation to be voted upon by the voters residing within
the Lacamas Heights area shall be as set forth in Exhibit “2"attached hereto and by this reference
incorporated herein.
ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the Council of the City of Camas this day of
July,2003.

PROPOSED ANNEXATION
The Council of the City of Camas has adopted Resolution No .968 and is proposing to
annex the area known as Lacamas Heights Property into the City of Camas.The legal
description of the area proposed for annexation is provided in City Resolution No.945.
Upon annexation,the property within this area shall be assessed and taxed on the
same basis and at the same rate as other property within the City of Camas.
All as provided in Resolution No.968.Should this annexation proposition be
approved?

A RESOLUTION relating to calling for an election on the question of annexation to
the City of Camas in an area described in Camas City Council Resolution No.c
and referred to as the Lacamas Heights area.
WHEREAS,residents of the area described in Camas City Council Resolution No.
y Y ^have circulated and presented a petition requesting an annexation election be
held in their area on the question of annexation to the City of Camas;and
WHEREAS,that petition has now gone through all procedural steps required in
35A.14 Revised Code of Washington;now,therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS FOR
CLARK COUNTY,STATE OF WASHINGTON,that an election is called for on the
question of annexation to City of Camas,to be held in the area described in Camas City
Council Resolution No.
2003,in conjunction with the General Election scheduled for that date.
and that such election shall be held on November 4,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that copies of this resolution and exhibits be filed
with the City of Camas and Clark County Auditor.
