RES 9592SIRESOLUTIONNO. A RESOLUTION finding that the steep incline conveyer system needed for the library is clearly and legitimately limited to a single source of supply,and further finding that pursuant to RCW 39.04.280 that the City need not comply with the competitive bidding statute for such purchase. WHEREAS,the City has recently undertaken a remodeling and addition to its public library facility,and WHEREAS,as part of the library project,the City desires to acquire a steep incline conveyer system for the transportation of books and library materials between different floors of the library, and WHEREAS,the library has conducted a screening process and has determined that the steep incline conveyer system that will fit the City’s need is available only through one manufacturer,and WHEREAS,the Council finds that if specifications were drawn for a steep incline library conveyer system for the library facility,only one vendor would respond ,and WHEREAS,it is in the best interest of the City to proceed with the acquisition of such conveyer system from the sole vendor, NOW ,THEREFORE,be it resolved by the Council of the City of Camas as follows: Section I The Council hereby declares that there is a single source for the steep incline conveyer system needed for the public library facility. Section II The Council further declares that compliance with the competitive bidding statute would result in only one vendor submitting a bid.
