A RESOLUTION of the City Council waiving traffic and fire
impact fees for the Jack,Will,and Rob Youth Center.
WHEREAS,the Jack,Will,and Rob Youth Foundation and the Camas School District
have collaborated to construct and operate a youth center on real property owned by the School
District on NE lone Street,and
WHEREAS,the proposed site for the youth center is at the current location of the Helen
Bailer Elementary School and is adjacent to the current location of the Camas High School,and
WHEREAS,any traffic generated by the youth center will be offset by the reduction in
traffic resulting from moving the high school to its new location in 2003,and
WHEREAS,a majority of the cost of the youth center has been from private charitable
contributions,and
WHEREAS,the youth center is a project of community-wide benefit and support,and
WHEREAS,Camas Municipal Code 3.88.130(a)(6)permits the Council on a case-by-
case basis to exempt the public school district from payment of all or a portion of impact fees,
and
WHEREAS,the Council desires to waive the impact fees for the Jack,Will,and Rob
Youth Center,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
The City Council hereby waives fire and traffic impact fees for the Jack,Will,and Rob
Youth Center,which is to be owned by the Camas School District and will be located on real
property owned by the Camas School District .
ADOPTED by the Council at a regular meeting this (_day of June,2001.
