RES 909RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION amending the neighborhood preservation enforcement policy by revising the time limits for follow-up inspections of public health,safety and welfare hazards. WHEREAS,the City of Camas heretofore adopted Resolution No.871,which adopted a neighborhood preservation enforcement policy,and WHEREAS,Section 1 of that policy provided for the code enforcement officer to make a follow up inspection within ten (10)days for public health,safety and welfare hazards,and WHEREAS,the Council finds that hazards posing a risk to the public health,safety and welfare should be abated more quickly than is presently provided for under the existing policy, NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Camas as follows : Section I That portion of the Neighborhood Preservation Enforcement Policy entitled “1.Public Health,Safety and Welfare Hazard”is modified to read as follows: 1 .Public Health,Safety and Welfare Hazard .Within 48 hours of receiving a complaint,the code enforcement officer will issue a violation notice to the owner, agent,and/or tenant stating that a complaint has been received,that the code enforcement officer has confirmed the complaint,that the nuisance must be abated within a specified time,and that a follow-up inspection will be conducted within a specified time to be not less than one (1)day nor more than three (3)days from the date of the letter to confirm abatement,or a plan of abatement,of the given nuisance.In establishing the time for abatement and the follow-up inspection,the code enforcement officer shall consider the risk posed by the hazard,the ease or difficulty of its abatement,and any other relevant information. 7%/2ADOPTEDataregularmeetingoftheCounciloftheCityofCamasthis day of February,2001. 7 SIGNED y Mayor A ATTEST:7 '/ Clerk A '/VED as to form: //dr l>L- ity Attorneys
