RES 867RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION setting a public hearing concerning the proposed vacation of a portion of E.1st Avenue,a portion of SE 2nd Avenue,a portion of SE 3rd Avenue,a portion of SE Adams Street,a portion of SE Birch Street,and a portion of SE Cedar Street. WHEREAS,the City has received a request from Fort James Corporation to vacate portions of E. 1st Avenue,SE 2nd Avenue,SE 3 rd Avenue,SE Adams Street,SE Birch Street,and SE Cedar Street (hereinafter referred to as the “streets to be vacated”),and WHEREAS,the streets to be vacated are surrounded on all sides by property owned by Fort James Corporation,and WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas desires to initiate vacation proceedings for the streets to be vacated ,and WHEREAS,it is necessary for the Council to fix a time and place for a public hearing to be held on the proposed street vacation, NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS FOLLOWS: Section I The Council of the City of Camas does hereby initiate proceedings to vacate portions of E.1st Avenue,SE 2nd Avenue,SE 3rd Avenue,SE Adams Street,SE Birch Street,and SE Cedar Street as described in Exhibit “A”attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein. Section II A public hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation of the streets to be vacated on the 8th day of February,1999,at 7:00 p.m.in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Section III The City Clerk is directed to give twenty (20)days notice of the hearing by posting written notice in three of the most public places in the City of Camas,by posting a like notice on the portion of the streets sought to be vacated,and by mailing notice to the abutting property owners at least fifteen (15) days prior to the date of hearing. x. day ofADOPTEDataregularsessionoftheCityCounciloftheCityofCamasthis January,1999.
