AN ORDINANCE appropriating $ 2 , 400 , 000 . 00 from the SE
1 st/Lake Road Capital Project Fund , to pay for expenses in excess of
budgeted amounts , and amending Ordinance No . 2356 and the budget
for the year 2004 to provide for such expenditure .
WHEREAS , the City is proceeding with the SE 1 St /Lake Road Street Improvement Project
which was budgeted in 2004 for $ 9 , 000 , 000 . 00 , and
WHEREAS , right - of-way costs have exceeded the prof ect budget estimate , and
WHEREAS , the bid award to the successful contract was in excess of budget estimates , and
WHEREAS , the contract for project management was in excess of budgeted amounts , and
WHEREAS , the total anticipated amount in excess of the 2004 existing budget of
$ 9 , 000 , 000 . 00 is $ 2 , 400 , 000 . 00 , and
WHEREAS , this budget appropriation will be funded from the Federal Interstate
Discretionary Grant ,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS
AS FOLLOWS .
Section I
The sum of $ 2 , 400 , 000 . 00 is hereby appropriated from the SE lst/Lake Road Capital Project
Fund and allocated as follows :

Section II
Ordinance 2356 and the budget for the year 2004 are hereby amended to provide for the
aforestated expenditure .
Section III
