AN ORDINANCE repealing Chapter 13 . 64 . 03 0 of the Camas
Municipal Code , which assessed a monthly sewer service charge for
utility customers located within the city limits where there is no
sewer service available .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS .
Section I
Chapter 13 . 64 . 030 of the Camas Municipal Code , which imposed a monthly sewer service
charge for utility customers located within the city limits where there is no sewer service
available , is hereby repealed .
Section II
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .

I have sent letters to the Alpine residents and to the Davis family that include a
cost estimate for installing a new system to serve all of them . The cost estimate is
$ 22 , 500 for each of the Alpine Lane owners , and $ 32 , 600 for the Davis
household . The estimate assumes that all parties participate equally . The
estimate for Davis is higher because he is located away from the other residents
and wi11 bear the entire cost of lus lateral to the intersection of Alpine and NW 6th .
The estimates reflect the cost of a bore under SR14 , excavation of solid rock in
the area, and the significant distance to a connection point . I have not heard back
from any,. . of these residents . I may have scared them off with my cost estimate .
My assumption at this point is that the . cost is prohibitive for a connection, even
with an L . I . D . Once the sewer is extended on SW 6th , . theseeo le may be better

the Tidland Heights Sewer Improvements . Mr . Norris installed a S . T . E . P . tank shortly
thereafter and connected to the system . The property at 436 Greeley was repossessed by
the lending bank . It is currently for sale and will probably require installation of a
S . T . E . P . tank for a future sale to fly, assuming the home is financed . I have been
communicating with the Real Estate Agent representing the bank . They are aware of the
SDC credit to any future owners . The Huddleston home remains unconnected .

AN ORDINANCE amending Section 13 . 72 . 040 (b) of the
Camas Municipal Code by allowing a credit against sewer system
development charges in an amount equal to the monthly sewer
service charges paid by properties not connected to the City ' s
sanitary sewer system .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY Or CATMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
Subsection 13 . 72 . 040 (b ) of the Camas Municipal Code is amended to provide as follows :
117104.0 - alit F.xemntions
b . Credit . Those properties that are not presently connected to the City ' s sewer
system but which have been assessed and paid a monthly sewer service charge
shall receive a credit against the sewer - system development charge in an amount
equal to the total monthly. sewer service charges paid prior to - connection .
Section II
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
