AN ORDINANCE revising the Comprehensive Land Use Map of the City
of Camas and the zoning map of the City of Camas .
WHEREAS , the City has heretofore adopted a comprehensive plan and comprehensive land use
map as required by the provisions of Chapter 36 . 70A , Revised Code of Washington , the Growth
Management Act , and
WHEREAS , under Chapter 36 . 70A Revised Code of Washington , the City is required annually to
consider amendments to the land use element of the Comprehensive Plan and associated rezone , and
WHEREAS , the Planning Commission has conducted a public hearing on the request for
revisions submitted to the City and has forwarded its recommendation to the City Council , and
WHEREAS , the City Council has conducted a public hearing on the request for revisions ,
NOW , THEREFORE , THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Section I
The request of Roland Shockley relates to property located in the vicinity of NW 7 ' Avenue and
NW 8 ' Avenue west of Logan Street . The applicant seeks a comprehensive plan amendment from
single - family high density to multi - family low density and an associated rezone from R1 - 7 . 5 to MF4 0 .
The Council hereby grants the request subject to the conditions set forth in the staff report and adopted by
the City Council at the public hearing on April 9 , 2001 . The City Engineer is directed to amend the
Comprehensive Land Use Map for the City of Camas to designate the land as multi - family low density ,
and to amend the zoning map of the City of Camas to designate the property as MF - 10 .
Section II
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
