2289 adopts the City of Camas traffic management plan and requires that all residential streets
conform to the guidelines and standards of the City of Camas traffic management plan . The full

ORDINANCE NO . . 2290
On February 26 , 2001 , the Camas City Council enacted Ordinance No . 2290 . Ordinance
No . 2290 amends existing provisions of the Camas Municipal Code relating to nonconforming
uses , conditional use permits , variances , and development code administration , and adds new
chapters to the zoning code regulating temporary use permits , unclassified use permits ,
comprehensive plan amendments , and zoning map amendments . The full text of the ordinance

ORDINANCE NO ,
AN ORDINANCE adopting the City of Camas Traffic
Management Plan, and adding a new section to Chapter 17 . 20 of
the Camas Municipal Code requiring compliance with the Traffic
Management Plan .
WHEREAS , in the spring of 2000 , the City Council directed that staff formulate a
neighborhood traffic impact plan to address traffic issues on residential streets , and
WHEREAS , the City retained DKS Associates to assist in the preparation of the plan , and
WHEREAS , a citizens ' steering committee was formed to provide citizen input and
recommendations , and
WHEREAS , the City Council has reviewed that document entitled " City of Camas
Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan" , and
WHEREAS , the Council has conducted a public hearing and desires to adopt the plan ,
NOW , THEREFORE , THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Section I
That document entitled " City of Camas Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan" is
hereby adopted for the purpose of providing standards and guidelines for the regulation of traffic
on residential streets . A copy of the City of Camas Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan
shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk .
Section II
There is hereby added to Chapter 17 . 20 of the Camas Municipal Code a new section to
provide as follows :
17 . 20 . 250 - Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan
Neighborhood
All residential stre its shall conform to the guidelines and standards of the City of Camas
Neighborhood Traffic Management Plan . Prior to approval of any residential subdivision
or short subdivision , the applicant shall complete and submit a Transportation Impact
Study to determine the adequacy of the transportation system to serve a proposed
development and to mitigate impacts of the proposal on the surrounding transportation
system . No subdivision or short subdivision shall be approved unless appropriate
provisions are made to address all impacts identified by the transportation impact study .

Section III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
