A RESOLUTION prohibiting parking on the paved portion
of the roadway for sections of NE Sumner Street.
WHEREAS, the Fire Marshal's Office has concluded that allowing parking on the east side of
NE Sumner Street in certain locations does not allow for ample width for emergency access in
accordance with the Uniform Fire Code;
WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is in the public interest to restrict parking at these
locations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
There shall be no parking permitted on the paved portion of the roadway on the East side of
Northeast Sumner Street from NE 3rd Loop to 100 feet south ofNE 3rd Avenue.
SECTION II
Pursuant to Camas Municipal Code 10.08.0lOB the City Engineer is authorized and directed to
erect appropriate signage giving notice of the parking restriction.
SECTION III
This resolution shall be effective upon the erection of new signs by the City Engineer.
