AN ORDINANCE reenacting Ordinance No . 2250 , and revising
water system development charges .
WHEREAS , on December 13 , 1999 , the City Council enacted Ordinance No . 2250 ,
which revised water system development charges , and
WHEREAS , Washington voters have approved Initiative 722 , which in part invalidates
all tax and fee increases adopted by local governments between July 2 , 1999 , and December 31 ,
1999 , and
WHEREAS , several cities have filed suit challenging the constitutionality of Initiative
722 , and
WHEREAS , due to the uncertainty surrounding the passage of Initiative 722 and the legal
challenges thereto , the City Council desires to reenact the increases in the water system
development charges ,
NOW , THEREFORE , THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Section I
Ordinance No . 2250 , which revised water system development charges , is hereby
reenacted , confirmed , and ratified effective January 1 , 2000 .
Section II
Subsection 13 . 52 . 060 of the Camas Municipal Code is amended to provide as follows :
13 . 52 . 060 - Rates - The rates for water system development
charges shall be as set forth in Table 13 . 52 . 060 per meter installed :

Section III
If any section, clause or phrase of this ordinance is declared unconstitutional or invalid
for any reason , such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of the
ordinance ,
Section IV
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
