AN ORDINANCE appropriating $ 950 , 000 . 00 from the Sewer
Treatment Plan Construction Fund to pay for costs in excess of the
estimated total project cost for the design , construction , and project
management for the sewer treatment plant expansion , and
amending the Budget for the Year 2000 to provide for such
expenditure . hLk
WHEREAS , in 1998 the City budged for the design , construction , and management of the
sewer treatment plan expansion , and
WHEREAS , at the time of originally budgeting for this project , the City could only
estimate total prof ect cost as design had not been completed ; and
WHEREAS , construction is now complete , and the total project cost has been
determined , and
WHEREAS , the total project cost exceeds the original budgeted amount by $ 950 , 000 . 00 ,
and
WHEREAS , the excess amount will be funded from unappropriated retained earnings
which have been financed by a Department of Ecology loan , two public works trust fund loans ,
and revenue bond proceeds ,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
The sum of $ 950 , 000 . 00 is hereby appropriated from the Sewer Treatment Plan
Construction Fund to pay for costs associated with the design , construction and project
management of the sewer treatment plant expansion , and is allocated as follows :

Section II
Ordinance No . 2247 and the Budget for the City of Camas for the Year 2000 are amended
to provide for the aforestated expenditure .
Section III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
