AN ORDINANCE amending Section 13 . 64 . 020 of the Camas
Municipal Code by revising sewer charges for commercial and
industrial customers during summer months .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS .
Section I
Section 13 . 64 . 020 of the Camas Municipal Code is amended to provide as follows :
13 . 64 . 020 Adjustment - Commercial :
Those commercial and industrial customers whose sewer charges
increase substantially during summer months due to the watering
a r of lawns and shrubbery and whose existing service was installed
prior to A-.qgrust 15 , 1999 , may make application with the Finance
Department for adjustment of their sewer charges . If the Finance
Department finds that there is an undue increase which is
attributable to watering of lawns and shrubbery , then the sewer
charges shall be adjusted so that the monthly charge is equal to the
average of the charges incurred in the months of November
through May , inclusive . Those commercial and industrial
customers that connect to the water system after September 15 ,
1999 , and that do not want additional sewer charges due to
irrigation , shall be required to install a separate water meter solely
for irrigation . Any person whose application for adjustment is
denied may appeal the decision of the water department to the
board of adjustment .
Section II
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
