ORD 2217 ORDINANCE NO .
AN ORDINANCE adopting the 1991 Edition of the Washington
State Historic Building Code as set forth in Chapter 51 - 19 of the
Washington Administrative Code .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
There is hereby adopted by the City for the purpose of establishing regulations and
standards for the repair , alteration , preservation , restoration , rehabilitation , strengthening , or
relocation of buildings or structures designated as historic buildings the 1991 Edition of the
Washington State Historic Building Code as set forth in Chapter 51 - 19 of the Washington
Administrative Code . One ( 1 ) copy of the 199/7/ Edition of the Washington State Historic Building
Code as set forth in Chapter 51 - 19 of the Washington Administrative Code shall be filed in the
office of the Clerk of the City .
Section II
Enforcement - The Director of Public Works , or his authorized designee , is directed and
authorized to implement and enforce all provisions of the Washington State Historic Building Code
as set forth in Chapter 51 - 19 of the Washington Administrative Code .
Section III
Violation - Any person , firm or corporation who violates any of the provisions of the code
hereby adopted or who fails to comply therewith , or who violates or fails to comply with any order
made thereunder , shall , severely for each and every such violation of noncompliance respectively ,
be guilty of a misdemeanor , punishable by a fine of not more than $ 1 , 000 . 00 or by imprisonment
for not more than ninety ( 90 ) days or by both such fine and imprisonment .
Section IV
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
