AN ORDINANCE amending Section 13 . 84 of the
Camas Municipal Code by revising the schedule of
charges for the removal of refuse and solid waste .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
Section 13 . 84 . 010 of the Camas Municipal Code is amended to provide as follows :
13 . 84 . 010 - Schedule of Charges . The following schedule of rates and
prices shall be and the same are hereby adopted as a schedule of charges
for the removal of refuse and solid waste by the City of Camas .
A . Curbside Rates
RESIDENTIAL/ COMMERCIAL MONTH - TO - MONTH CAN SERVICE
Regular weekly service ( $ per month) January 16 , 1999
One 35 gallon can ( 65 lb . Equivalent) 12 . 20 monthly
One 65 gallon can ( 1301b . Equivalent) 18 . 95 monthly
One 95 gallon can ( 1951b . Equivalent) 25 . 70 monthly
Every other week service
One 35 gallon can ( 65 lb . Equivalent) 9 . 25 monthly
Be Carry Out Rates
Customers who use their own can or do not place the solid waste and refuse container at
curbside shall be charged a carry out rate equal to the applicable curbside rate plus a 20 %
surcharge .
C . Elderly and Handicapied Rates
Persons who are unable to place solid waste and refuse container at the curbside location
because of age or physical handicap may apply on an application form available at the
Public Works Department for an exemption from carry out rates . If the application is
granted , the customer shall receive carry out service at the applicable curbside rate .
D . Additional Charles
The City Council may from time to time adopt by resolution rates and charges for the
collection and disposal of items of solid waste not provided for in Section 13 . 84 . 010 ( a) .
E . Chanes in Service
Changes in service will become effective within two weeks of request . The containers are
the property of the City of Camas .
To change can size , requiring the removal and replacement container 10 . 00
F . Miscellaneous Charges
Return trip for missed service 5 . 00
Overfilling of can 3 . 00
Extra bag 3 . 00
Unscheduled pickup charge on day other than regular garbage day
Or additional return on same day ( one yard minimum) 18 . 75 per yard

Section II
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
