ORDINANCE NO ,
AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of portions of E .
1st Avenue , SE 2nd Avenue , SE 3rd Avenue , SE Adams Street,
and SE Birch Street .
WHEREAS , by Resolution No . 867 adopted January 11 , 1999 , the City Council initiated
proceedings to vacate portions of E . 1st Avenue , SE 2nd Avenue , SE 3rd Avenue , SE Adams
Street , and SE Birch Street , and
WHEREAS , said Resolution set the 8th day of February , 1999 , at 7 : 00 p . m . , in the
Council Chambers in the City Hall of Camas , Washington, as the time and place for a public
hearing on said proposed vacation , and
WHEREAS , pursuant to said Resolution , the City Clerk caused notices to be posted and
mailed in accordance with the requirements of law , and
WHEREAS , at the time and place set for said hearing , the Council considered the
testimony of all persons commenting on said vacation , and
WHEREAS , the Council finds that the portions of E . 1st Avenue , SE 2nd Avenue , SE 3rd
Avenue , SE Adams Street , and SE Birch Street that are proposed to be vacated are not currently
being utilized for public road purposes , and that there are no plans to use such streets for public
road purposes , now, therefore ,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
The following described portion of SE 3rd Avenue be and the same is hereby vacated :
That portion of Southeast 3rd Avenue , (formerly Front Street) ,
lying within the Overlook Addition to LaCamas , according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Book D at Page 19 , Records of Clark
County , Washington lying westerly of the westerly right- of-way
line of Southeast Dallas Street , (formerly Beeson Street) , to the
easterly right- of- way line of Southeast Cedar Street, ( formerly
Burton Street) .
SUBJECT TO an easement over and across said tract of land for
the operation , maintenance , and improvements to the existing
water , storm , and sanitary systems .
Section II
The following described portion of SE 2nd Avenue be and the same is hereby vacated :
That portion of Southeast 2nd Avenue , (formerly Water Street) ,
1ying within the Overlook Addition to LaCamas , according to the

line of Southeast Cedar Street , ( formerly Burton Street) , to the
easterly right- of- way line of Southeast Birch Street , ( formerly
Clara Street) .
SUBJECT TO an easement over and across said tract of land for
the operation , maintenance , and improvements to the existing
water , storm , and sanitary systems .
Section III
The following described portion of SE Birch Street be and the same is hereby vacated :
All that portion of Southeast Birch Street , ( formerly Clara Street) ,
lying within the Overlook Addition to LaCamas , according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Book D at Page 19 , Records of Clark
County , Washington lying southerly of the southerly right - of- way
line of East 1st Avenue , ( formerly First Street) . Excluding the area
more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the southeast corner of lot 8 , Block 6 of said addition ;
Thence south 53 ° 30 ' west a distance of 100 feet , to the southwest
corner of said lot 8 ; Thence south 36 ° 30 ' east a distance of 35 feet,
to the center line of southeast 2nd Avenue ; Thence north 53 ° 30 '
east a distance of 100 feet ; thence North 36 ° 30 ' west a distance of
35 feet , to the POINT OF BEGINNING .
SUBJECT TO an easement over and across said tract of land for
the operation , maintenance , and improvements to the existing
water , storm , and sanitary systems .
Section IV
The following described portion of East 1st Avenue be and the same is hereby vacated :
The southerly sixty five feet of East 1st Avenue , (formerly First
Street) , lying within the Overlook Addition to Lacamas , according
to the plat thereof as recorded in Book D at Page 19 , Records of
Clark County , Washington lying westerly of the westerly right- of-
way line of Southeast Cedar Street , (formerly Burton Street) , to the
easterly right- of- way line of Southeast Adams Street, (formerly
Clark Street) . Excluding the area more particularly described as
follows :
Beginning at the northeast corner of lot 4 , Block 6 of said addition ;
Thence north 36 ° 30 ' west a distance of 35 feet , to the centerline of
East 1st Avenue ; Thence south 53 ° 30 ' west a distance of 50 feet ;
Thence south 36 ° 30 ' east a distance of 35 feet ; Thence north 53 ° 30 '
east a distance of 50 feet, to the POINT OF BEGINNING .
SUBJECT TO an easement over and across said tract of land for
the operation , maintenance , and improvements to the existing
water , storm , and sanitary systems .

The following described portion of SE Adams Street be and the same is hereby vacated :

lying within the Overlook Addition to Lacamas , according to the
plat thereof as recorded in Book D , at Page 19 , Records of Clark
County , Washington being more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1 , Block 5 of said
addition ; Thence north 36 ° 30 ' west along the easterly right- of- way
line of said Southeast Adams Street a distance of 140 . 00 feet , to
the centerline of east 1st Avenue ; Thence south 53 ° 30 ' west a
distance of 50 . 00 feet ; Thence south 36 ° 30 ' east a distance of
140 . 00 feet ; thence north 53 ° 30 ' west a distance of 50 . 00 feet , to
the POINT OF BEGINNING ,
SUBJECT TO an easement over and across said tract of land for
the operationmaintenance , and improvements to the existing
water , storm , and sanitary systems .
Section VI
Said vacations are subject to the reservation of easements for existing water , storm , 'qY
sanitary sewer systems as set forth in the preceding Sections .
Section VII
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
