ORD 21581 /ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $90,000.00 from the Police
Facility Fund to pay for professional services and construction
costs,appropriating $29,000.00 from the General Fund to pay for a
voice stress analyzer,and books and training for drug enforcement ;-3
and education,appropriating $L24;O0O.OO for the Washougal River
Bridge painting project,and amending the Budget for the Year
1998 to provide for such expenditures.

WHEREAS,the construction of the police facility has been completed and there are
increased contract costs with ESD No.112 for professional services in the amount of $10,000.00,
and for Team Construction for construction costs in the amount of $80,000.00,and
WHEREAS,there are sufficient unappropriated funds in the Police Facility Fund to pay
for such expenditures,and
WHEREAS,the Police Department desires to purchase a voice stress analyzer,books and
training for drug enforcement and education which have an estimated cost of $29,000.00,and
WHEREAS,the City has received Department of Justice and Clark County grants to fund
such expenditures,and
WHEREAS,there are sufficient unappropriated funds in the General Fund to pay for such
expenditure,and
WHEREAS,the Washougal River Bridge painting project was not completed in 1997 as
anticipated,and
WHEREAS,the 1998 budget did not include the Washougal River Bridge painting
project,and
WHEREAS,the estimated cost of such project is $124,000.00,of which $94,560.00 will
be funded by a federal indirect/WDOT grant of $94,560.00,and
WHEREAS,there are sufficient unappropriated funds within the City Street Fund to pay
for such expenditure,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
The sum of $90,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the Police Facility Fund to pay for
professional services and construction costs,and is allocated as follows:

The sum of $29,000.00 is hereby appropriated from the General Fund to pay for a voice

Section IV
Ordinance No.2140 and the Budget for the City of Camas for the Year 1998 are amended
to provide for the aforestated expenditures.
Section IV
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five (5)days from and after its publication
