AN ORDINANCE revising the boundary lines of the electoral
wards of the City of Camas and amending Chapter 1 . 20 of the
Camas Municipal Code .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
Section 1 . 20 . 020 of the Camas City Code is amended to provide as follows :
Ward No . 1 of the City shall have the following boundaries :
Beginning at the intersection of Northwest 6th Avenue and Northwest Norwood Street ;
thence easterly along Northwest 6th Avenue to Northwest Logan Street ; thence northerly on
Northwest Logan Street to Northwest 7th Avenue ; thence east on Northwest 7th Avenue to
Northwest Greeley Street ; thence north on Northwest Greeley Street to Northwest 10th Avenue ;
thence west on Northwest 10th Avenue to Northwest Ivy Drive ; thence northeasterly on
Northwest Ivy Drive to Northwest 11 th Avenue ; thence east on Northwest 11th Avenue , crossing
Northwest Elm Street to the east line of the Hill Top Heights Subdivision ; thence south along
said east line to the north line of no . 18 of lot 30 of Forest Home Addition ; thence east along the
prolongation of said north line to Northwest Benton Street ; thence northeasterly on Northwest
Benton Street to Northwest 12th Avenue ; thence east on Northwest 12th Avenue to Northwest
Ash Street ; thence south on Northwest Ash Street to Northwest 11 th Avenue ; thence east on
Northwest 11 th Avenue to Division . Street ; thence south on Division Street to the James River
Mill Ditch ; thence northeasterly along the James River Mill Ditch to Northeast Everett Street ;
thence north on Northeast Everett Street to Northeast 22nd Avenue ; thence east on Northeast
22nd Avenue and the extension thereof to an intersection with the north line of the Lacamas
Creek Tree Farm ; thence easterly along the north line of the Lacamas Creek Tree Farm until
intersection with the city limits boundary as of October 1 , 1994 at Lacamas Creek ; thence
southerly along the city limits and Lacamas Creek to Northeast 3rd Avenue ; thence westerly on
Northeast 3rd Avenue to Northeast Dallas Street ; thence southerly on Northeast Dallas Street to
East 1 st Avenue ; thence westerly along East 1 st Avenue to Northeast Adams Street ; thence
southerly on Northeast Adams Street to Southeast 2nd Avenue and the easterly boundary of
James River Corporation ; thence southerly along the east boundary of James River Corporation
to the center of the Camas Slough ; thence westerly along the Camas Slough to State Highway 14 ;
thence northerly on State Highway 14 to Northwest 6th Avenue interchange ; thence easterly
along Northwest 6th Avenue to Northwest Norwood Street and the point of beginning .
Section II
Section 1 . 20 . 030 of the Camas City Code is amended to provide as follows :
Ward No . 2 of the City shall have the following boundaries :
Beginning at the intersection of the James River Mill Ditch with Division Street ; thence
northerly on Division Street to Northwest 18th Avenue ; thence west on Northwest 18th Avenue
to Northwest 18th Loop ; thence westerly on Northwest 18th Loop to Northwest Fargo Street ;
thence northerly on Northwest Fargo Street to Northwest 28th Avenue ; thence westerly on
Northwest 28th Avenue and the extension thereof to the east one quarter corner of Section 4
Township 1 North , Range 3 East , Willamette Meridian , thence west along the east west
centerline of said Section 4 to the center east one sixteenth corner ; thence north along the north
south centerline of the northeast one quarter of said Section 4 to the northeast one sixteenth
corner ; thence : east along the eastwest centerline of said northeast one quarter to the east line of
said Section 4 ; thence north along said section line to the southwest corner of Applewood Hills
Subdivision , Phase 1 ; thence easterly and northerly along said subdivision boundary to the north
line of Section 3 , Township 1 North , Range 3 East , Willamette Meridian ; thence east along said
section line to the southeast corner of Lacamas View Subdivision ; thence north along the east
line of Lacamas View Subdivision and the east line of Lake Heights Subdivision to Northwest
Lake Road ; thence northeasterly along the east boundary of Lacamas Shores Subdivision to the
north city limits on Lacamas Lake , thence southeasterly along the north city limits to the
northeast corner of Lacamas Creek Tree Farm , thence southwesterly along the north line of the

Lacamas Creek Tree Farm to an extension on Northwest 22nd Avenue ; thence west on Northeast
22nd Avenue to Northeast Everett Street ; thence south on Northeast Everett Street to the James
River Mill Ditch ; thence southwesterly along the James River Mill Ditch to the point of
beginning .
Section III
Section 1 . 20 . 040 of the Camas . City Code is amended to provide as follows :
Ward No . 3 of the City shall have the following boundaries .
Beginning at the intersection of Northwest 18th Avenue and Northwest Astor Street ;
thence west on Northwest 18th Avenue and the prolongation thereof to the northwest corner of
Knight Pointe Subdivision and the west city limits boundary as of October 1 , 1994 ; thence
northerly along the city limits line , passing along Southeast 1 st Avenue and continuing northerly
to the northwest corner of the city limits on Lacamas Lake ; thence southeasterly along the north
city limits boundary on Lacamas Lake to the easterly boundary of Lacamas Shores Subdivision ;
thence along the easterly boundary of Lacamas Shores to Northwest Lake Road ; thence south
along the east line of Lake Heights Subdivision and the east line of Lacamas View Subdivision to
the southeast corner of Lacamas View Subdivision ; thence west along the south line of Lacamas
View Subdivision and the prolongation thereof to the northeast corner of Applewood Hills
Subdivision , Phase 1 ; thence along the easterly and southerly line of Applewood Hills
Subdivision , Phase 1 to the east line of Section 4 , Township 1 North , Range 3 East , Willamette
Meridian ; thence south along said east line to the north one sixteenth corner common to Sections
3 and 4 . Township 1 North , Range 3 East , Willamette Meridian ; thence west along the east west

Section IV
Section 1 . 20 . 050 of the Camas City Code is amended to provide as follows :
Ward No . 4 of the city shall have the following boundaries .
Beginning at the intersection of East 1 st Avenue and Southeast Adams Street ; thence
northeasterly on East 1 st Avenue to Northeast Dallas Street , thence Northwesterly on Northeast
Dallas Street to Northeast 3rd Avenue ; thence northeasterly on Northeast 3rd Avenue to
Southeast Crown Road ; thence northerly on Southeast Crown Road to the north city limits
boundary as of October 1 , 1994 ; thence easterly on the north city limits line , crossing Southeast
Shepherd Road , to an intersection with the Washougal River and Northeast 3rd Avenue ; thence
easterly on Northeast 3rd Avenue to Northeast Weir Street ; thence north on Northeast Weir
Street to Northeast 4th Avenue ; thence easterly on Northeast 4th Avenue to Northeast Lechner
Street ; thence southerly on Lechner Street to the Burlington Northern Railroad Tracks ; thence
westerly along the tracks to Southeast Whitney Street ; thence northerly on Southeast Whitney
Street to a point where the city limits line bears westerly ; thence westerly along the south city
limits line to a point where said line bears southerly ; thence southerly along the city limits line to
the south line of the State of Washington , Clark County , and the City of Camas ; thence westerly
along said south line to a point that bears south from the east side of Lady ' s Island ; thence
northerly along the east side of Lady ' s Island , crossing State Highway 14 and the Camas Slough ,
to the southeast corner of the James River Paper Mill ; thence northerly along the easterly line of
the paper mill to the point of beginning .
Section V
Section 1 . 20 . 060 of the Camas City Code is amended to provide as follows :
Ward No . 5 of the city shall have the following boundaries :

as of October 1 , 1994 ; thence northerly along the west city limits line to the north line of Section
8 , Township 1 North , Range 3 East , Willamette Meridian ; thence east on said north line of
Section 8 to a point north of Northwest Tidland Avenue and the section corner common to
Sections 41, 51 8 , and 9 , Township 1 North , Range 3 East ; thence east on the north line of said
Section 9 to the intersection of Northwest Hood Street and Northwest 18th Avenue ; thence east
on Northwest 18th Avenue to Northwest Astor Street ; thence north on Northwest Astor Street to
Northwest Forest Home Road ; thence southeasterly on Northwest Forest Home Road to
Northwest 10th Avenue ; thence East on Northwest 10th Avenue to Northwest Greeley Street ;
thence south on Northwest Greeley Street to Northwest 7th Avenue ; thence west on Northwest
7th Avenue to Northwest Logan Street ; thence southwesterly on Northwest Logan Street to
Northwest 6th Avenue ; thence westerly on Northwest 6th Avenue to State Highway 14 ; thence
southeasterly on State Highway 14 to the Camas Slough ; thence easterly along the Camas Slough
to the east side of Lady ' s Island ; thence southerly along the east side of Lady ' s Island to the south
line of the State of Washington , Clark County , and the city limits ; thence westerly along said
south line to a point where the city limits bears north ; thence northerly along the west line of the
city limits to the point of beginning .
Section VI
Section 1 . 20 . 070 of the Camas City Code is amended to provide as follows :
Ward No . 6 of the city shall have the following boundaries :
Beginning at the intersection of Northwest 11 th Avenue and Division Street ; thence west
on Northwest 11 th Avenue to Northwest Ash Street ; thence north on Northwest Ash Street to
Northwest 12th Avenue ; thence west on Northwest 12th Avenue to Northwest Benton Street ;
thence southwesterly on Northwest Benton Street to the intersection of the prolongation of the
north line of no . 18 of lot 30 of Forest Home Addition ; thence west along said prolongation to
the east line of Hill Top Heights Subdivision ; thence north along the east line of Hill Top Heights
Subdivision to Northwest 11th Avenue ; thence west on Northwest 11th Avenue to Northwest Ivy
Drive ; thence southwesterly on Northwest Ivy Drive to Northwest 10th Avenue ; thence west on
Northwest 10th Avenue to Northwest Forest Home Road ; thence northwesterly on Northwest
Forest Home Road to Northwest Astor Street ; thence north on Northwest Astor Street , and the
prolongation thereof, to Northwest 28th Avenue ; thence easterly on Northwest 28th Avenue to
Northwest Fargo Street ; thence southerly on Northwest Fargo Street to Northwest Ostenson
Canyon Road ; thence northeasterly on Northwest 18th Loop to Northwest 18th Avenue ; thence

Section VII
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
