ORD 2091 ORDINANCE NO . C) (71
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $ 126 , 700 . 00 from the
General Fund to pay for radio communications equipment for
the police department , and amending the budget for the year
1996 to provide for such expenditure .
WHEREAS , the regional police radio communication system will be converted to a 800 MHz
simulcast trunking radio system as of January 1 , 1997 , and
WHEREAS , the police department needs to purchase and install radio equipment this year so
as to be ready to go on - line as of January 1 , 1997 , and
WHEREAS , the estimated cost of the radio equipment is $ 109 , 700 . 00 , and
WHEREAS , an additional $ 17 , 000 . 00 is required to purchase five laptop computers and
software to be installed in the police vehicles to utilize the new communications system , and
WHEREAS , there are sufficient unappropriated funds in the General Fund to pay for such
expenditure ,
NOW , THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS
AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
The sum of $ 126 , 700 . 00 is appropriated from the General Fund to pay for police radio
communications equipment , and is allocated as follows :

Section II
Ordinance No . 2045 and the budget for the City of Camas for the year 1996 are amended to
provide for the afore stated expenditure .
Section III

according to law .
