AN ORDINANCE appropriating $ 20 , 000 . 00 from
the General Fund to pay for consultant ' s fees
for fire code compliance for the TSMC facility ,
and amending the Budget for the Year 1996 to
provide for such expenditure .
WHEREAS , Taiwan Semi - Conductor Manufacturing Company ( TSMC )
has announced plans to construct a manufacturing facility within
the City of Camas , and
WHEREAS , the TSMC facility will require extensive inspections
and monitoring to insure compliance with the provisions of the
uniform fire code , and
WHEREAS , the Council has determined that such services are
best rendered by third - party consultants , and
WHEREAS , the estimated cost of such services is $ 20 , 000 . 00 , and
WHEREAS , there are sufficient unappropriated funds in the
General. Fund to pay for such expenditures now , therefore ,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
The sum of $ 20 , 000 . 00 is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
funds in the General Fund to pay for consultant ' s services for
Fire Code enforcement and compliance in connection with the TSMC
facility , and is allocated as follows .

Section II
Ordinance No . 2045 and the Budget for the Year 1996 are amended
to provided for the aforestated expenditure .
Section III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 )
days from and after its publication according to law .
