AN ORDINANCE amending Sections 18 . 08 . 590 and
8 . 44 . 010 ( b ) of the Camas Municipal Code to revise
the definition of manufactured / mobile home , and
adding a new section to Chapters 15 . 04 , 15 . 08 , 15 . 12 ,
15 . 14 , 15 . 16 , and 15 . 20 providing for supremacy of
the National Manufactured Homes Construction and
Safety Act of 1974 standards in the event of any
conflict with the various uniform codes of the City .
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
Section 18 . 08 . 590 of the Camas Municipal Code is amended to
provide as follows :
18 . 08 . 590 - Manufactured / Mobile Home : " 1�lanuf actured / mobile
home " means a structure , transportable in one
or more sections , which in the travelling mode ,
is eight body feet or more in width o .r 40 body
feet or more in length , or when erected on site ,
is 320 or more square feet , and which is built
on a permanent chassis designed to be used as
a dwelling with or without a permanent foundation
when connected to required utilities , and includes
the plumbing , heating , air conditioning , and electrical
systems contained therein ; except that such term
shall include any structure which meets all the
requirements of the National Manufactured Home
Construction and Safety Standards Act of 1974
as amended , except the size requirements and with
respect to which the manufacturer voluntarily
files a certificate required by the Secretary
of Housing and Urban Development , and complies
with the standards established under the National
Manufactured Home Construction and Safety Standards
Act of 1974 ` as amended .
Section II
Section 8 . 44 . 010 ( b ) of the Camas Municipal Code is amended
to provide as follows

Code and the standards set forth in the National
Manufactured Homes Construction and Safety Act
of 1974 , as amended , the latter standard shall
prevail .
Section IV
There is hereby added to Chapter 15 . 08 , a new section to provide
as follows
15 . 08 . 30 - Manufactured / Mobile Homes : In the event of any
conflict between the standards for manufactured /
mobile homes set forth in the Uniform Plumbing
Code and the standards set forth in the National
Manufactured Homes Construction and Safety Act
of 1974 , as amended , the latter standard shall.

There is hereby added to Chapter 15 . 12 of the Camas Municipal
Code , a new section to provide as follows :
15 . 12 . 015 - Manufactured / Mobile Homes : In the event of any
conflict between the standards for manufactured /

Code and the standards set forth in the National
Manufactured Homes Construction and Safety Act
of 1974 , as amended , the latter standard shall
prevail .
Section VI
There is hereby added to Chapter 15 . 14 of the Camas Municipal.
Code a new section to provide as follows :
15 . 14 . 015 - Manufactured / Mobile Homes : In the event of any
conflict between the standards for manufactured /
mobile homes set forth in the 'Washington State
Ventilation and Indoor Air Quality Code and the
standards set forth in the National Manufactured
Homes Construction and Safety Act of 1974 , as
amended , the latter standard shall prevail. .
Section VII
There is hereby added to Chapter 15 . 16 of the Camas Municipal
Code a new section to provide as follows .

15016 . 040 - Manufactured / Mobile Homes : In the event of any
conf i ict between the standards for manufactured /
mobile homes set forth in the Uniform Fire Code
and the standards set forth in the National
Manuf acturered Homes Construction and Safety Act
of 1974 , as amended , the latter standard shall
prevail .
Section VIII
There is hereby added to Chapter 15 . 20 of the Camas Municipal
Code a new section to provide as follows :
15 . 20 . 015 - .Manufactured / Mobile Homes : In the event of any
conflict between the standards for manufactured /
mobile homes set forth in the Washington State
Energy Code and the standards set forth in the
National _ Manufacturered Homes Construction and
Safety Act of 1974 , as amended , the latter standard
shall prevail .
Section IX
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 )
days from and after its publication according to law .
