ORD 2607 ORDINANCE NO . D 7
AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of a portion of an
unnamed public alley located south of SE Second Avenue and west of
SE Lechner Street .
WHEREAS , on September 23 , 2010 , the owners real property located at 271 SE Lechner
Street and 3442 SE Second Avenue submitted a request to vacate a portion of an unnamed public
alley located south of SE Second Avenue and west of SE Lechner Street, and
WHEREAS , on October 18 , the City Council adopted a Resolution setting a public hearing
on November 15 , 2010 at 7 : 00 p . m . , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of Camas , Washington ,
as the time and place for a public hearing on said vacation request, and
WHEREAS , pursuant to said Resolution , the City Clerk caused notices to be posted and
mailed in accordance with the requirements of law, and
WHEREAS , at the time and place set for said hearing , the Council considered the testimony
of all persons commenting on said vacation , and
WHEREAS , the Council finds that the portion of the unnamed alley that is proposed to be
vacated is not currently being utilized for public road or sidewalk purposes , and that said portion of
the unnamed alley is more suitable for private use , NOW , THEREFORE ,
THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
That portion of the unnamed alley located south of SE Second Avenue and West of SE
Lechner Street as described in Exhibit " A " attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein
be and the same is hereby vacated .
Section II
Said vacation is contingent upon the abutting landowner paying the cost of publishing this
ordinance , and paying the sum of $ 8 , 405 . 00 to the City .
Section III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .

That portion of public right- of- way tract located in the Southwest Quarter of Section 7 ,
Township 1 North , Range 4 East , Willamette Meridian , Clark County , City of Camas ,
Washington , more particularly described as follows :
Beginning at the southwest corner of lot 2 , block 1 of the Weir Park Subdivision as
recorded in Book D , Page 58 of Clark County , Washington records ; thence southerly
along the west property lines of lots 3 , 4 , 5 , and 6 of said block a distance of 267 . 2 feet to
the southwest corner of said lot 6 , said point lying on the south line of said subdivision ;
thence southwesterly along said south line to the southeast corner of lot 7 of said block ;
thence northerly along the east lines of lots 7 , 8 , 9 , 10 , and 11 of said block a distance of
270 . 5 feet , said point being the southeast corner of lot 12 of said block ; thence easterly
15 . 6 feet to the point of beginning .
Said public right- of-- way tract containing 4 , 194 square feet , more or less .
