AN ORDINANCE providing for the vacation of
a portion of N . W . 18th Street .
WHEREAS , by Resolution No . 781 . the City Council initiated
proceedings to vacate a portion of N . Q. 18th Avenue as more
particularly described hereafter , and
WHEREAS , said resolution set the 23rd day of October , 1995 ,
at 7 : 00 p . m , in the Council Chambers in the City Hall of Camas ,
Washington , as the time and place for a public hearing on said
proposed vacation , and
WHEREAS , pursuant to said resolution , the City Clerk cause
notices to be posted and mailed in accordance with the requirements
of law , and
WHEREAS , at the time and place set for said hearing , the Council
considered the testimony of all persons commenting on said vacation ,
and
WHEREAS , the Council finds that the portion of N . W . 18th Avenue

proposed to be vacated is not currently being utilized for road
purposes , and that there are no plans to improve said portion of
N . W . 18th Avenue for road purposes , and
WHEREAS , the Council finds that one - half the value of that
portion of N . W . 18th Avenue proposed to be vacated is $ 57 . 50 , and
WHEREAS , the Council finds that N . W . 18th Avenue is a dead - end
street with an inadequate turn - around and that dedication of a
portion of the abutting property is necessary to create an adequate
turn - around , now , therefore ,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS :

The following described portions of N . W . 18th Avenue being
the same are hereby vacated :
