ORD 2018 ORDINANCE NO .
AN ORDINANCE appropriating $ 53 , 000 . 00 from
the General Fund to pay for salary , benefits , and
other expenses associated with hiring a new police
officer .
WHEREAS , the City has hired a new police officer , and
WHEREAS , the City has incurred expenses in advertising and
recruiting for the position , and
WHEREAS , the City will incur salary , benefit , and other expenses
related to the hiring of a new police officer , and
WHEREAS , such expenses were not provided for in the 1995 Budget ,
and
WHEREAS , there are , sufficient unappropriated funds in the
General Fund to pay for such expenditures , now , therefore
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF ' * THE CITY OF CAMAS AS FOLLOWS :
Section I

The sum of $ 49 , 500 . 00 is hereby appropriated from unappropriated
funds in the General Fund and the sum of $ 3 , 500 . 00 is also appropriated
from unappropriated reserves designated for drug enforcement in
the General Fund , and said appropriations are allocated as follows :
