AN ORDINANCE adding a new Chapter to the Camas
Municipal Code establishing a Violations Bureau for the
processing of parking violations .
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
There is hereby added to the Camas Municipal Code a new section to provide as follows :
2 . 96 . 010 Parking Violations Bureau : There is hereby established a Parking
Violations Bureau under the supervision of the Camas Municipal Court to assist
in processing parking violation cases . The Parking Violations Bureau shall be
administered by the Camas Finance Department . The Camas Municipal Court
shall designate by Court Order the specific parking infractions which may be
processed by the Parking Violations Bureau . The Parking Violations Bureau shall
be authorized to receive the posting of bail for parking offenses specified by the
Camas Municipal Court , and to the extent authorized by said Court , shall be
authorized to accept forfeiture of bail and payment of penalties for such
infractions . The Parking Violations Bureau , upon accepting the prescribed bail ,
shall issue a receipt therefore to the alleged violator and acknowledging the
posting thereof and informing the accused of the legal consequences of bail
forfeiture .
The Parking Violations Bureau shall be authorized to process parking infractions
in conformity with RCW 46 . 63 and with the Court Order of the Camas Municipal
Court . All penalties and forfeitures paid to the Parking Violations Bureau shall be
placed in the City' s General Fund .
Section II
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five days from and after its publication
according to law .
