ORD 2560 ORDINANCE NO .
AN ORDINANCE of the City of Camas , Washington, creating
a Hotel - Motel Lodging Tax Fund , and specifying the uses to be
made of monies deposited in said fund .
WHEREAS , the Council has adopted an Ordinance levying an excise tax of two percent
(2 %) on the sale of or charge made for the furnishing of lodging by any hotel , rooming house ,
tourist court , bed and breakfast facility, motel , or trailer camp , and
WHEREAS , the City Council desires to create a separate fund for the receipt and
disbursal of the hotel -motel excise tax ,
NOW THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
There is hereby created a special fund to be known as the " Hotel - Motel Lodging Tax
Fund " , which fund shall be utilized for the receipt and disbursal of the proceeds from the excise
tax of two percent (2 %) levied on the sale of or charge made for the furnishing of lodging by any
hotel , rooming house , tourist court , bed and breakfast facility, motel , or trailer camp .
Section II
Monies in the Hotel -Motel Lodging Tax Fund shall be used only for the purposes
authorized for hotel -motel tax revenues by Chapter 67 . 28 , Revised Code of Washington .
Section III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
