AN ORDINANCE adopting revisions to the Comprehensive Land
Use Map of the City of Camas and to the Zoning Map of the City
of Camas .
WHEREAS , the City of Camas has heretofore adopted a Comprehensive Plan and
Com prehensive Land Use Map as required by the provisions of RCW 3 6 . 70A , Revised Code of
Washington , the Growth Management Act, and
WHEREAS , under Chapter 36 . 70A , Revised Code of Washington , the City is required
annually to consider amendments to the land use element of the Comprehensive Plan and
associated rezones , and
WHEREAS , the Planning Commission has conducted a public hearing on the requests for
revisions submitted to the City, and has forwarded its recommendation to the City Council , and
WHEREAS , the City Council has conducted a public hearing on the requests for
revisions ,
NOW , THEREFORE , THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS DO ORDAIN AS
FOLLOWS :
Section I
Application CPA09 - OI seeks ; a---comprehens ve =sexe-ks- a Comprehensive Plan amendment
from Multi - Family High to Commercial and an associated rezone to Community Commercial for
property bounded on the west by Louis Bloch Park, on the north by Northeast Third Avenue , and
on the south and east by East First Avenue . The Planning Commission recommended approval
of a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Multi - Family High to Commercial and an associated
rezoning to Community Commercial . The City Council hereby adopts the recommendation of
the Planning Commission, and the Community Development Director is hereby directed to
amend the Comprehensive Land Use Map for the City * of Camas to designate the property as
Commercial . The Community Development Director is further directed to amend the Zoning
Map of the City of Camas to designate the property as Community Commercial ( CC ) .
Section II
Application CPA09 - 03 seeks a Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Multi - Family
High to Commercial and an associated rezoning to Mixed Use (MX) for the Louis Bloch
neighborhood . The Louis Bloch neighborhood is generally that area located west of Louis Bloch

Park, south of Southeast Third Avenue and Southeast Second Avenue , east of Dallas Street, and
north of Southeast Sixth Avenue . The Planning Commission recommended approval of a
Comprehensive Plan Amendment from Multi - Family High to Commercial and an associated
rezone to Mixed Use . The City Council hereby adopts the recommendation of the Planning
Commission , and the Community Development Director is hereby directed to amend the
Comprehensive Land Use Map for the City of Camas to designate the property as Commercial .
The Community Development Director is further directed to amend the Zoning Map of the City
of Camas to designate the properly as Mixed Use (MX) .
III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .
