low Ordinance No . Page - 1 ORDINANCE NO . 2 5 AN ORDINANCE appropriating $ 468 , 702 . 00 to pay for unbudgeted personnel expenditures and preservation of Historical Cemetery Records , transferring $ 20 , 869 . 00 from the General Fund to the City Street Fund , and amending the Budget for the year 2009 to provide for such expenditure . WHEREAS , the City has entered into collective bargaining agreements with City employees since adoption of the Budget for 2009 , and WHEREAS , the Bargaining Units provide for cost of living adjustments for the employees that were not included in the 2009 Budget, and WHEREAS , the Council has provided the same cost of living increase to non -represented personnel , which was not provided for in the 2009 Budget, and WHEREAS , two additional . Fire Captain positions are being added , and the related personnel costs were not included in the 2009 Budget, and WI-AREAS , there are insufficient funds in the City Street Fund to pay for the personnel costs from the cost of living increase , and WHEREAS , there are sufficient unappropriated funds in the General Fund to be transferred to the City Street Fund to pay for such personnel costs , and WHEREAS , the Washington State Archives Grant Project of $ 16 , 043 . 00 to preserve Historical Cemetery Records was not completed in 2008 but will be completed in 2009 and WHEREAS the Grant revenue - and expenditure for the Proj ect was not included in the Budget for 2009 , NOW, THEREFORE , BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS FOLLOWS . Section I There is hereby transferred from the General Fund to the City Street Fund the sum of $ 20 , 869 . 00 . Section II There is hereby appropriated from the General Fund , the Equipment Rental Fund , the City Street Fund , the Cemetery Fund , the Storm Drainage Fund , City Sanitary Fund , and Water Sewer Fund , the sum of $ 468 ,, 702 . 00 to be allocated as set forth in Exhibit " A " attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein . v ' Ordinance No . Page - 2 Section III Ordinance No . 2528 and the Budget for the year 2009 are amended to provide for the aforestated expenditures . Section IV This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five ( 5 ) days from and after its publication according to law .
