A RESOLUTION prohibiting parking on portions of Northeast Everett Street,
Southwest Park Street and Southeast Weir Street.
WHEREAS, City Engineering Staff has conducted a survey at the intersection of Northeast 38th
Avenue and Northeast Everett Street and concluded that additional sight distance is required; and
WHEREAS, The Fire Marshal's Office has concluded that allowing parking on either side of
Southwest Park Street and Southeast Weir Street in certain locations does not allow for ample width for
emergency access in accordance with the Uniform Fire Code;
WHEREAS, the Council finds that it is in the public interest to restrict parking at these
locations;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS
FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
There shall be no parking permitted on the East side of Northeast Everett Street from 130 feet
south of NE 38th Avenue to 150 feet north of NE 38th Avenue.
SECTION II
There shall be no parking permitted on the East Side of Southwest Park Street from 250 feet
south of Southwest 7th Circle to 300 feet north of SW 7th Circle.
SECTION III
There shall be no parking permitted on the West side of Southeast Weir Street from Southeast
2nd A venue north for 170 feet. There shall be no parking permitted on the East side of Southeast Weir
Street between Southeast 2nd Avenue and Southeast 3rd Avenue.
SECTION IV
Pursuant to Camas Municipal Code 10.08.0lOB the City Engineer is authorized and directed to
erect appropriate signage in each block giving notice of the parking restriction.
SE CTIONV
This resolution shall be effective upon the erection of new signs by the City Engineer .
