AN ORDJNANCE providing for the vacation of a portion ofNW
Astor Street.
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 1085 adopted November 6 , 2006, the City Council initiated
proceedings to vacate a portion ofNW Astor street, and
WHEREAS, said Resolution set the 4 111 day of December, 2006 , at 7:00p.m., in the Council
Chambers in the City Hall of Camas, Washington , as the time and place for a public hearing on said
vacation, and
WHEREAS, pursuant to said Resolution , the City Clerk caused notices to be posted and
ma iled in accordance with the requirements of law , and
WHE REAS , at the time and place set for said hearing, the Council considered the testimony
of all persons commenting on said vacation , and
WHE REAS , the Council finds that the porti on ofNW Astor Street that is proposed to be
vacated is not currently being utilized for public road , sidewalk or utility purposes, and
WHEREAS, upon completion of street improvements along Astor Street, including
con struction of a retaining wall within this vacati o n area, the recipient of this vacation area would be
allowed to construct a fence along the newly acquired property line atop said retaining wall , now,
th erefore ,

The street vacation provided for herein s hall not be effective until street improvements along
th e vacate d portion ofNW Astor Street are accepted as complete by City of Camas.
Section III
This ordinance shall take force and be in effect five (5 ) days from and after its publication
according to law .

That portion ofNW Astor Street located in the Southwest one-quarter of the Southwest
one-quarter of Section 3, Township 1 North, Range 3 East, Willamette Meridian, City of
Camas, Clark County, Washington, being more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the southwest comer ofLot2 of Forest Home Ridge as recorded in the
records of Clark County, Washington in Book J at Page 036, said point beginning located
on the easterly right-of-way line of said NW Astor Street and the True Point of Beginning
of this vacation description; Thence North 01° 04' 26" West along said right-of-way line
and the westerly .line of said lot 2 a distance of 55.70 feet to the beginning of a curve
concave to the southeast having a radius of 120.00 feet; Thence northeasterly 91.94 feet
along said curve through a central angle of 43° 53' 48" to the northwesterly comer of
said lot 2; Thence North 53° 59' 56" West, leaving said right-of-way a distance of20.00
feet; Thence South 36° 00' 04" West a distance of 38.27 feet; Thence South 01 o 04' 26"
East a distance of 120.43 feet; Thence North 88° 55' 34" East a distance of 5.50 feet to
the TURE POINT OF BEGINNING of this vacation description, said right-of-way
vacation containing 1857 square feet, more or less.
