A RESOLUTION extending the moratorium adopted by Resolution
No.1127 for an additional six months.
WHEREAS,on April 21,2008,the City Council adopted Resolution No.1127,which
imposed a moratorium for six months upon the acceptance of any development applications for those
properties annexed to the City by Ordinances Nos.2510,2511,2512,2513,and 2514,and
WHEREAS,the purpose of the moratorium was to prevent development of the property prior
to completion of additional planning studies so that adequate controls would be in place for the
preservation of open space,the protection of natural resources,the preservation of historically
significant structures and sites,the preservation of archaeological resources,the coordination of
development with the extension of utility services and road improvements,and the control of urban
sprawl,and
WHEREAS,the additional planning and studies contemplated by Resolution No.1127 have
not been completed,and
WHEREAS,the Council desires to extend the moratorium for an additional six months to
allow for completion of the additional planning and studies,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS
AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I
There is hereby imposed a moratorium on the acceptance of development applications for the
properties annexed by Ordinance Nos.2510,2511,2512,2513,and 2514 for a period of six months.
Said moratorium shall expire six months from the date of its adoption,or upon enactment by the City
of a zoning regulation for the property,whichever shall first occur.
SECTION II
The City re-adopts the findings of Section I of Resolution No.1127,the definition of
"development application"set forth in Section II of Resolution No.1127,and the procedures for
seeking an exemption to the moratorium as set forth in Section IV of Resolution No.1127.
