RES 1006\oOV>RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION creating the position of Accounting Manager,
identifying the position as exempt as defined in the Fair Labor
Standards Act and establishing a salary range for such position.
WHEREAS,Section 2.64.020 of the Camas Municipal Code requires the Council to
adopt a Resolution establishing a pay schedule showing salary ranges for officers and employees
of the City,and
WHEREAS,the City Council desires to create a new position known as Accounting
Manager,and adopt a salary range for said position,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS:
Section I
There is hereby created the position of Accounting Manager.
Section II
The position of Accounting Manager is exempt from overtime compensation as defined
in the Fair Labor Standards Act.
Section III
The salary range for the position of Accounting Manager shall be approximately nine percent
(9%)above the range for the Accountant position in the same principle of vertical alignment as
established for other positions.The pay schedule for officers and employees of the City is hereby
amended to include the schedule attached hereto as Exhibit “A”,and by this reference incorporated
herein,as the adopted salary for the position of Accounting Manager for 2005.
