A RESOLUTION setting a public hearing for the proposed
vacation of that portion of E.1st Avenue between Cedar Street and
Dallas Street,that portion of SE 2nd Avenue between Cedar Street
and Dallas Street,and that section of SE Cedar Street between E.
1st Avenue and SE 3rd Avenue.
WHEREAS,the City has received a request from Georgia Pacific Corporation to vacate
that portion of E.1st Avenue between Cedar Street and Dallas Street,that portion of SE 2nd
Avenue between Cedar Street and Dallas Street,and that portion of SE Cedar Street between E.
1st Avenue and SE 3rd Avenue (hereinafter referred to as the “streets to be vacated ”),and
WHEREAS,the streets to be vacated are surrounded on all sides by property owned by
Georgia Pacific Corporation,and
WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas desires to initiate vacation proceedings for
the streets to be vacated ,and
WHEREAS,it is necessary for the Council to fix a time and place for a public hearing to
be held on the proposed street vacation,
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMAS AS FOLLOWS :
Section I
The Council of the City of Camas does hereby initiate proceedings to vacate that portion
of E.1st Avenue between Cedar Street and Dallas Street,that portion of SE 2nd Avenue between
Cedar Street and Dallas Street,and that portion of SE Cedar Street between E.1st Avenue and SE
3rd Avenue.
Section II
A public hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation of the streets to be vacated on the
11th day of April,2005,at 7:00 p.m.,in the Council Chambers of the City Hall.
Section III
The City Clerk is directed to give 20 days notice of the hearing by posting written noticer
in three of the most public places in the City of Camas,by posting a like notice on the portion of
the streets to be vacated,and by mailing notice to the abutting property owners at least 15 days
prior to the date of hearing.
