RES 928RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION setting a public hearing concerning the proposed vacation of a portion of SE 12 th Avenue WHEREAS,that portion of SE 12 th Avenue hereinafter described is not currently being used for road purposes,and WHEREAS,that portion of SE 12 th Avenue hereinafter described has never been developed as a public road,and WHEREAS,the abutting property owner,have by letter requested the City Council to vacate said portion of SE 12 th Avenue,and WHEREAS,the Council of the City of Camas desires to initiate vacation proceedings for that portion of SE 12 th Avenue hereinafter described,and WHEREAS,it is necessary for the Council to fix a time and place for a public hearing to be held on the proposed street vacation. NOW THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMAS AS FOLLOWS: Section I The Council of the City of Camas does hereby initiate proceedings to vacate that portion of SE 12th Avenue described in Exhibit “A”attached hereto and by this reference incorporated. Section II A public hearing shall be held on the proposed vacation of the aforedescribed portion of SE 12th Avenue on the 11 th day of February,2002,at 7:00 p.m.in the Council Chambers of the City Hall. Section III The City Clerk is directed to give twenty (20)days notice of the hearing by posting written notice in three of the most public places in the City of Camas,by posting a like notice on that portion of SE 12th Avenue to be vacated,and by mailing notice to the abutting property owners at least (15)days prior to the date of hearing. ADOPTED at a regular session of the City Council of the City of Camas this January,2002. SIGNED: ATTEST: Clerk AP VED as to form: City Attorney EXHIBIT “A” Vacation Description Of a Portion of SE 12th Avenue That portion of Southeast 12th Avenue located in the Northeast one-quarter of the Northwest one-quarter of Section 13,Township 1 North,Range 3 East,Willamette Meridian,City of Camas,Clark County,Washington,being more particularly described as follows: Beginning at the southwest comer of Lot 1 of that particular short plat as recorded in the records of Clark County,Washington in Book 2 at Page 230;Thence North 83°28’05” East along the south line of said Lot 1 and the extension thereof a distance of 279.36 feet; Thence South 10°02’51”West a distance of 41.46 feet to the southerly right-of-way line of Southeast 12th Avenue;Thence South 83°28’05”West along said right-of-way line a distance of 279.56 feet;Thence North 10°18’26”East a distance of 41.52 feet to the Point of Beginning of this vacation description.
